Skills Works

GALA works with Department of Community Services (DCS) to help their clients improve the 9 Essential Skills and overcome barriers to help them get to work.

Seniors and Learning Grants

GALA, in partnership with Shamrock Seniors Club (Canso), Rocky Shores Seniors (New Harbour) and other seniors groups will provide literacy projects for seniors. The workshops offered will help seniors gain health literacy skills which are critical for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. We work with seniors groups to help seniors reduce isolation, gain new skills and find and access information.
